The Approach & Exploration

Research

Learning about the ins and outs of being a hotel manager. What type of data was relevant. How to effectively and clearly show data from each hotel to the manager and to keep them engaged and interested in this product.
Finding out how the lead system works, and planning accordingly on how that process will integrate into the application for the managers.

Lead Score "Heart of the App"

The Lead Score in short is a calculation(score) of hotel history, rooms booked, events booked, revenue from said event or function, revenue from hospitality extras and so on. Making this score presentable in distinct parts of the app was a must, and having the end-user understand at a glance what it all stood for. Here are some different iterations of work that was done for this score.

A system was developed that used letter grades for the overall score, A+ (best possible) to F (worst) was used. In addition, scale, color and weighting of icons for the subsets of information that made up the overall grade was also used to help the end user see how this overall score was composed. Our usability and user testing found that this system worked best and allowed users to assimilate the information correctly and quickly at a glance.

Sub Titles

I allowed users to drill down into the Lead Score. This effectively allows them to educate themselves about how the Lead Score was comprised, and how each sub-category is added up into the making of the overall Lead Score.
